More About Me

I have served in some capacity of Children’s Ministry since the age of 13. I am passionate about Children’s Ministry and feel confident that in addition to being a wife and mom, my life’s work is Children’s Ministry.  Three specific areas of ministry form the basis of the work God has called me to:

*I am passionate about helping children love and follow Jesus.

*I am passionate about equipping and empowering volunteers who share my vision and passion and feel called to serve in Children’s Ministry.

*I am passionate about partnering with and equipping parents as they help nurture and support their child’s faith.

Over the years, I have served in both volunteer and paid staff leadership roles.  In addition, I have been privileged to lead numerous Children’s Ministry workshops in the Baltimore/Washington, DC area. In addition, I also regularly review books and other resources for Children’s Ministry.

In addition to KidMinspiration, my work has been published at FourFiveSix.org, preteenministry.netchurchleaders.com, kidzmatter.com and Children’s Ministry Magazine.  Occasionally, I also guest post on other blogs.  Click the links below to check out some of my published work:

In 2013, KidMinspiration was recognized as one of the top 100 kidmin blogs and in 2014 I was recognized as one of the top 100 #kidmin users on Twitter.  More recently, I was a contributing author for Reggie Joiner’s book, Lead Small Culture, which was released in April 2014 and Kidology’s Bright Ideas, which was released in September 2014.  In October 2014, I became a columnist for Children’s Ministry Magazine.

My Family

My husband Lance and I have been married for 18 years and have two teenagers.  They are my biggest supporters and I couldn’t imagine doing ministry without them!   In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading and watching episodes of my favorite TV show, the original Beverly Hills, 90210.
